The Reidsville City Council approved plans to demolish a residence police say is a flophouse for durg users and traffickers.

But read the article closely and tell me if you see any true justification for tearing the house down. Though the house is in violation of housing codes, it has not been condemned, and power and running water are still turned on. Nor has Jerry Wray, the primary resident, been arrested on drug charges.

We here in Greensboro have a few houses owned by a certain landlord we wish the city would just tear down. But that’s not the way it works, though admittedly Bill Agapion knows the way things works all too well. That said, I’m having trouble seeing where due process has taken place up in Reidsville. Maybe I’m missing something.
