Today, September 14th, the Senate and House leaders held a joint press conference to discuss the details of a budget plan they have finally agreed to. While budget agreements usually come with celebration, this excitement has come with long anticipation. If passed this week, which is expected, the 2015 budget will be only the 4th time since 1961 the budget has lasted this long. Last time the budget was passed this long after the end of the fiscal year (June 30) was in 2002 when the budget was passed on September 30th.
