Interesting that Locker Room’s Paul Chesser picks up on yesterday’s N&R story on Rep. Howard Coble’s proposed bill that repeal the 2007 incandescent light bulb ban.

Chesser takes “smarter than everyone else reporter” Mark Binker to task for taking the time to explain to us ‘dunderheads’ that the original bill didn’t ban incandescent bulbs; it just bans retailers from selling incandescent bulbs. Big difference there, alright.

Funny, when I read the article, I didn’t think Binker was being condescending so much as Rep. Pricey Harrison, who pushed a bulb ban here in North Carolina:

“I still get grief from people around the state about my bill,” the Greensboro Democrat said. People didn’t like being told they would have to give up their old reliable light bulbs, no matter that much of the energy used to run them turned into heat rather than light.

So here we have someone claiming the media is condescending, and someone else claiming a liberal politician is condescending. Big difference there, alright.
