The two new craft breweries, which received their non-subsidies from state and local governments, will be partnering with Appalachian State University to launch a degree in fermentation. Students will need proficiencies in math and nutrition for who knows why. The knowledge gained will not only be used to help people forget their worries in these tough economic times; it can be applied to the generation of biofuels. For some reason; as clear as the connection between nutrition, math, and booze; this reminds me of a billboard in Skyland that goes something like, “Green is cool, but not in your swimming pool.”
