Say what you will about Sen. Richard Burr —-one commenter here called him a ‘war criminal’ —- but he’s not only facing the public on the healthcare issue but he’s doing so with advocates of President Obama’s healthcare reform — among them Rep. Larry Kissell—- right beside him, eager to challenge him.

Burr’s explaining his recent statement that Obama’s healthcare overhaul would hurt rural America to —–rural America. He was in Hamlet yesterday, and plans several stops in western North Carolina over the next week.

As for Sen. Kay Hagan, she introduced a bill that would create “a specific medical track for students interested in practicing medicine in rural communities.”

But no word on public appearances.
