Republican Sen. Richard Burr has filed for re-election, reports the News & Observer. So far he has two GOP primary challengers: Brad Jones of Lake Toxaway and Eddie Burks of Asheboro. There are now four Democrats vying for the nomination to challenge Burr. Secretary of State Elaine Marshall filed today. She joins Marcus Williams, Ken Lewis, and Cal Cunningham.

All 13 of North Carolina’s House incumbents have also filed. Some have primary challengers. You’ll find the candidate list here. Deadline for filing is Friday.
