As his tight reelection campaign comes down to the wire, voices support Sen. Richard Burr for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in wake of Trump’s recently unveiled “locker room talk”:
On Monday, Burr said in an interview with WRAL that he will continue to support Trump because “I support the person who I think best can change America, and right now that’s Donald Trump given the two choices.” On WFMY, he said: “The fact is, you’ve only got two individuals running for president that neither one are role models for the next generation, but that’s our choice.”
For her part, Burr’s opponent, Deborah Ross said she “would tell Hillary Clinton to her face that she handled her email in the wrong way….I mean, it was wrong. No two ways about it.”
