The House voted 345-75 to fully defund ACORN.
The North Carolina delegation split 10-2-1 on the resolution, with Democrats G.K. Butterfield (1st) and David Price (4th) voting to maintain funding for an organization whose employees, in several cities, were caught on video offering advice on getting federal housing subsidies to a couple who wanted to open a brothel employing underage immigrant girls.
Rep. Mel Watt, D-12th, voted “present.”
