Nelson Bobb is leaving UNCG after serving 26 years as the university’s athletics director.
Bobb is of retirement age, but note that’s not the language used —-“the university and Bobb have mutually decided to pursue different opportunities” is the way the press release put it. The fact that Chancellor Linda Brady has taken an active role in athletics makes this ‘parting of the ways’ somewhat interesting.
