Bruce Bartlett is like the Orkin man when it comes to economic nonsense. In this excellent column he squishes GOP Senator Judd Gregg, who has shamelessly jumped on the “let’s beat up on the oil companies” bandwagon.

I think that Bartlett raises a very important question about the possibility that the economically literate part of the Republican base will come to the conclusion that there isn’t a dime’s worth of difference (as George Wallace once put it) between the two major parties.
