It seems a lot of people hate to see the rise of Cell Towers.  I know they are on the landscape in North Carolina.  This article in the Washington Post shows what some are doing to protect the balance of nature.  Up in the Smoky Mountains, some groups said that cell towers close to the Appalachian Trail would be a good idea incase of an emergency for hikers on the AT and remote areas of the national park, but some of these environmental groups ran out in protest that the beauty of the landscape can not be endangered by the rise of cell phone towers.  I guess even if a person is lost in the woods a couple of cell towers on mountain tops wouldn’t help that much, maybe save a life?
