Hannity’s Great American Panel kicked around the University of Maryland student union planned weekend screening of a hard-core porn film.
It took me back to days at UNCG in the mid-80s, when they showed movies in Jarrell Lecture Hall on Thursday nights. The powers that be decided to screen a porn film after a student made such a request in a letter to The Carolinian.
My roommate and I said ‘appearances be damned’ and decided to check it out —for curiosity’s sake, of course. We got there and found out that practically the entire campus was as curious as we were — the lecture hall was standing room only.
Worth mentioning is the fact that the UNCG’s female-male ratio in those days was three to one.
