The Associated Press runs a story on a New York City councilman, Joel Rivera, who wants the city government to regulate the number of fast-food outlets as a means of fighting obesity. No adjectives are used to describe Rivera, the promoter of this Big Government, Big Brother proposal. A quick Google search, however, tells the tale. He’s a liberal Democrat.
Now, imagine a councilman proposing, say, that the number of Planned Parenthood offices be limited as a means of saving babies’ lives, and that councilman happened to be a conservative Republican. Do you think that would have gone unremaked by the AP reporter?
