Occupy stuff continues to land in the news. Last night, 24 Asheville occupants were arrested. Rather than going through the community’s accepted protocols for arranging a vigil, the group had a spokesperson phone the police with their intent. The 24 were arrested for trespassing. Commentators on the local daily’s forum shared the impression that the expressions on some of the mug shots looked as though they had been induced by smoking mother nature.
Watching the Oakland protest last night, I couldn’t help remember my last trip to Oakland. Walking down the street after dark, one continually walked into clouds of pot smoke. And so, your thought question before retiring to bed tonight, is:
How would current events be playing out if nobody smoked pot or chemicals that created the same buzz? How would they be playing out if nobody did prescription antidepressants?
