I was struck this morning by the list of questioners at two upcoming candidate debates. There’s a debate tonight between Democratic incumbent David Price of North Carolina’s 4th District and his opponent, Republican and Tea Party favorite B.J. Lawson. Then, on Oct. 21, a debate between Republican Sen. Richard Burr and his Democratic challenger, Elaine Marshall, will be carried on radio and TV stations.
The Price-Lawson debate is sponsored by The Independent Weekly, the decidedly left-wing alternative newspaper. Here are the panelists the organizers have chosen to question the very liberal Price and his conservative challenger:

• Lefty Durham blogger Kevin Davis.
• Lefty WUNC reporter Laura Leslie.
