While I think the entire enterprise of trying to restrict liberty in the name of making the earth a couple degrees cooler 150-200 years from now is in-and-of-itself criminal, it appears that Europe’s cap and tax scheme is being manhandled by hucksters using it to turn an illegal buck. According to the UK Telegraph:
Carbon trading fraudsters may have accounted for up to 90pc of all market
activity in some European countries, with criminals pocketing an estimated
?5bn (?4.5bn) mainly in Britain, France, Spain, Denmark and Holland,
according to Europol, the European law enforcement agency.
