The head of the N.C. Chamber offers the News & Observer today his thoughts about the horribly misnamed Employee Free Choice Act:
Passing legislation to make it easier for unions to swell their
membership rolls and drive up costs would only do more harm at a time
Americans can least afford it. Look no farther than the steel, airline
and automotive industries to realize what damage mass unionization does
to industries and states.
On the same theme, George Leef asked recently why anyone would want to limit an employee’s freedom to choose union membership or non-membership. George will discuss this issue with Donna Martinez in an upcoming edition of Carolina Journal Radio. You can hear a snippet of that discussion here.
