As the Alamance-Burlington Board of Education considers eliminating satellite zones to achieve racial balance in schools, the leader of the NAACP serves notice that she’ll be watching.

For what it’s worth, the Times-News reports that in 2009 a federal judge ruled that Alamance-Burlington “had met its obligations to address the effects of intentional past segregation,” while the Department of Justice backed the system’s efforts to put more resources into minority schools.
