Reporters for Carolina Journal will be busy throughout the 2010 election season. Associate editors David Bass and Sara Burrows and Video News Editor Anthony Greco collaborated on an exclusive Tuesday about potential swing districts in this year’s legislative races. The Lincoln Tribune and N.C. Free Enterprise Foundation picked up the story, and N.C. Senate Republicans highlighted it in one of their daily e-mails. Speaking of Bass, the Lincoln Tribune also picked up his exclusive about Ruffin Poole’s “not guilty” plea on corruption charges. Poole was a top aide to former Gov. Mike Easley. A Greensboro News & Record blog also cited Bass’ work in discussing Wake County school board member John Tedesco’s resignation from his full-time job. Meanwhile, N.C. Senate Republicans promoted Greco’s CarolinaJournal.tv story on a legislative debate involving tracking of targeted tax breaks. The Senate GOP also noted Burrows’ report on public companies’ response to the potential costs from ObamaCare.
