of South Carolina, or Joe Manchin of West
Virginia, but Mike Easley gets a C grade in the Cato Institute’s new fiscal policy report card for governors.
Crist, Sanford, and Manchin earned the only A grades among the 50 governors. Fourteen governors, including Georgia Republican Sonny Perdue and Tennessee Democrat Phil Bredesen, earned B grades.
Easley joins a class of eight C “students.” Among neighboring states, only Virginia’s Tim Kaine scores lower. He picked up a D. You’ll learn more details here.
