The Appalachian State University Recreation Management program, the ASU Council for Outdoor Recreation Educators, Destination by Design, and the Watauga County Tourism Development Authority will host the second recreation summit for Watauga County. The objectives are to celebrate the last conference and get capacity-building ideas from members of the public. I apologize. I don’t have that part of my brain that likes to recreate.
I mean, if I exercise it is to make my body more fit for work. If I read, it is to learn something. If I go to a concert, it is to search for the meaning of life and enliven my soul. Really. I don’t see the purpose in spending public dollars on ways for people to intentionally dork around.
