The N&R reports on the much anticipated grand opening of the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering. UNC President Tom Ross said the school “was a collaborative effort that made the idea a reality, particularly on the part of (UNCG Chancellor Linda) Brady and A&T Chancellor Harold Martin.”

Interesting that in the same issue runs a letter to the editor from Greensboro resident Harol Hoffman-Meisner suggesting that UNCG trim a few bloated administrative salaries —including Brady’s—- in lieu of a 10-pecent tuition hike.

Just so happens I stumbled across UNCG’s salaries the other day; scroll through and decide for yourselves, dear reader if the salaries are bloated.

Yesterday I expressed my counter -point tto the spin put forth by the powers-that-be and the mainstream media, and I’ll just leave it at that. Look, I’m sure they’re going to do some cool things down at the joint school, and I am happy that some highly-educated people are going to put their skills to constructive use instead of occupying parking lots, public parks and governmental plazas.
