The Center for Education Reform (CER) has published a series of voter guides for a handful of U.S. Senate and state executive races, including those in North Carolina.

For U.S. Senate, Dole received CER’s highest score (9) and a special blue star, while Hagan got the ol’ goose egg.

CER’s take on the governor’s race is simple – McCrory’s the Dude. The guide says,

That’s why reformers are excited about one candidate for Governor, Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory, who supports vouchers for at-risk children and a lifting of the charter cap – two agenda items his teachers union-backed opponent, incumbent Governor [sic! sic! sic!] Beverly Perdue, has heavily criticized.

As for the Superintendent of Public Instruction race, CER says that Richard Morgan could make it a competitive race against incumbent June Atkinson if he “plays his cards right.” I have no idea what that means.
