After being called out by the Winston-Salem Journal— which suggested she resign due to her “obstinacy when it comes to the basic requirements of managing a large, publicly funded agency” —- CenterPoint Human Services director Betty Taylor apologizes to the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners for comments she made during the recent funding dispute.

Taylor chastised commissioners for ‘asking too many questions’ when considering CenterPoint’s request for a $1.53 million allocation, which (understatement of the year) is a small portion of the center’s $93.2 million budget.

Forsyth Commissioner Gloria Whisenhunt said she accepted Taylor’s apology, but added that Taylor would have to go before she voted for the allocation.
