You might remember Jacob Vigdor for his work on the Index of Immigrant Assimilation, a document profiled recently on Carolina Journal Radio.
We learn in this morning’s News & Observer that Vigdor is now proposing a new way to pay teachers. Vigdor would get rid of pay increases tied to “valueless” credentials, boost pay sharply for beginning teachers, and reduce salary increases for teaching veterans.
