As Chapel Hill progressives push for fewer cars and less reliance on fossil fuels, local crooks are taking notice and jumping on the anti-car bandwagon. Actually, the crooks are jumping on bikes — bikes that belong to other people. The Daily Tar Heel reports that campus bike thefts rose dramatically last fall and the crooks are stealing in broad daylight. What’s happening?
