As soon as officials stop talking to media, and tell others to clam up, you know they realize things are out of hand. What it comes down to is this: Either town officials have confidence in the report from the police chief about the actions taken by police during November’s occupation of a privately owned building by squatters and anarchists, or they don’t. Take a stand, for goodness sake, and stick with it. You either have confidence in the police or you don’t. You either endorse what the squatters and anarchists did, or you don’t.
