O,h for goodness sake. Now the Chapel Hill liberals want to do away with class rankings in the public school system.

District leaders want to remove class rank — the measure by which students are ranked against their peers — from high school transcripts.

While the statistic provides a way for college admissions officials to evaluate an applicant’s competitiveness, some in CHCCS have said they believe it leads to unnecessary competition between students and more stress.

Why bother to have grades then? Too much stress and competition.

For that matter, why bother to measure knowledge with a test? Too much stress and competition.

Why bother to have a winner and a loser in a sports game? Too much stress and competition.

Grow up, folks. Life is about choices and interacting with other people — yes, even competing with them.
