In 2006, Rob Schofield wrote a paean to high taxes in the Raleigh News & Observer. Schofield said repealing the death tax (an effort blocked by a Democratic filibuster) would hurt non-profits because rich people would have less reason to protect their assets.

Rob has been silent this year despite an effort by the Obama administration to cap the tax deduction for charitable giving, i.e., to raise taxes on rich donors.

It looks like Rob might dislike rich people more than he likes nonprofits, after all the consistent element in both cases is people who earn more get taxed more.
