I always thought it was a bit curious how Brent Cagle, who had been at Charlotte Douglas International Airport for less than a year, was named interim aviation director after Jerry Orr’s departure.  Seems that that isn’t the only curious personnel decision out at the airport, as Assistant Aviation Director Herbert Judon, who is black, is suing the city, claiming that he was passed over for promotion to deputy aviation director in favor of a white assistant aviation director who Judon contends is less qualified but a buddy of Cagle’s. Even if  Judon’s suit is unfounded, it still suggests that the airport may not be following best personnel practices.
