On April 21, US Airways resumed flying Charlotte-Paris as a summer seasonal flight on a 204-seat Boeing 767-200ER jet. The airline had last served Paris non-stop from Charlotte back in 2001. Times are tough for airlines. Thus it’s fair to ask how well the flight is doing.
The answer is apparently “quite well.” It’s very early, and things can change, but as of now, the flight is listed comes back again next year, but with the season beginning three weeks longer (flights resume on March 28, 2010 after stopping for the winter on Oct. 24). Also, the route is one of the eight that will use the airline’s largest aircraft, the 293-seat seat Airbus A330-300. (The other seven: CLT to London & Frankfurt; Philadelphia to Paris, Rome, Madrid, Frankfurt, and Manchester, England).
