A unanimous panel of the N.C. Court of Appeals has ruled that some Mecklenburg County charter schools are entitled to more money from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school system.
The dispute involved money diverted from the school system’s “local current expense fund” to pay for programs called Bright Beginnings and High School Challenge.
In another education-related ruling, a different appellate panel ruled in favor of the Beaufort County Board of Education in its school funding fight with Beaufort County commissioners.
