Well, maybe.

As Republican members of congress scramble to find safe ground, there is a fundamental weakness in the Democrats-will-roll argument. I spin it out in greater detail here, but basically this is it: Anti-war anger is what is behind the positive poll numbers for Democrats, but there are, in fact, few anti-war Democrats actually running for Congress.

The bottomline is that Democrats are running on the same old labor union and academic Left cant they have for decades. That might be enough to thump some totally beat-down Republicans. But maybe not.
