I’ve always noticed a particular house sitting on the corner of Wendover Avenue and Hill Street, right where you come over the hump on Wendover and go flying down the hill toward Cridland Avenue. What I really found interesting was the hammock sitting in the front yard. Does anyone really lie there chilling out with traffic flying by at a constant pace?

Sure enough, there was a guy lying there reading a book when I drove by this afternoon. Guess he’s not bothered by the noise, the traffic and the (gasp) exhaust fumes. Some people just aren’t bothered by that stuff. Personally, I would worry that some nut would come careening over the curb and take me out. I read the papers, you know. Happens all the time.

But it just goes to show it takes all kinds to make up our fair city.
