Well, details are sketchy but the Pioneer Bowl is coming old Memorial Stadium, you know, the spot some wanted to knock down and replace with a publically-subsidized Charlotte Knights stadium.
I hope some sponsor is picking the county Parks & Rec $6000 rental fee and that the bowl officials understand they are going from a stadium which holds 40,000 in Mobile, Alabama to Memorial’s cozy 24,000. Then there are police and security tabs for somebody to handle.
I guess we’ll get some details soon……
