Meck Deck first alerted me to this Wall St. Journal story on museums’ poor projections of visitor counts. I was looking for Gboro’s own International Civil Rights Center and Museum — poster child for poor visitor projections if there ever was one —but evidently WSJ didn’t get the word.

As a result, museum chairman and former Guilford County Commissioner Skip Alston is again asking the city for $1.5 million to help stay afloat. In order to support his request, Alston’s out there spreading good will among the community —-not.
