According to the good folks at the Civitas Institute, most likely voters favor the Opportunity Scholarship Program, and a majority of respondents would be less likely to vote for a candidate that would end the program.
Democrats such as Gov. Roy Cooper, superintendent of public instruction candidate Jen Mangrum, and most legislative candidates endorsed by the N.C. Association of Educators (NCAE) have declared their desire to destroy the Opportunity Scholarship Program.
