Education columnist Ron Isaac begins his piece on the class size debate in New York City saying, “One of the few educational issues about which there is no dispute is that the size of classes has a direct and measurable impact on the prospects of success in the classroom.”
He is right. In his world, the world of the education establishment, there is no dispute about the matter because evidence that class size does not improve student achievement is ignored or suppressed.
