It has been said that if government declared a war on pregnancy, men would start having babies.

Swain County continues to fight its high teen pregnancy rate with programming. Last year, thirty-eight Swain teens gave birth. This was not the first pregnancy for eleven of these girls. To eliminate the problem, the board of education is attempting to procure a $75,000 Teenage Pregnancy Prevention Initiative grant to help with office space and assistance. A questionnaire has been designed to put the power of suggestion to work and also to let the bedroom police know the reproductive habits of the little boys and girls.
