Iain Murray has a good column on the failure of activists to think through the supposedly problem of climate change before rushing out to hector us with proposals for drastic changes in our energy usage.
This is the same phenomenon I wrote about last week — moral free riding. Those who propose the change get to bask in the glow of their professedly superior compassion and concern, but the actual costs would fall mainly on others.
