As we all know, photographs of the same places taken at two discrete moments in time are all that is needed to prove a linear trend in climate change. Who can forget the undeniable proof of manmade, CO2-induced global warming offered by photographs of a glacier, one taken just after the tail end of the Little Ice Age and the other just recently. Polar bears are going to die, you know!
This news will hit very close to home for some. These very disturbing images have shown up this year in Durham. I see no need to improve upon the standard of proof offered by the glacial examples. Clearly, Durham will be underwater very soon, and it will be our fault!
