Naturally we turn to the Winston-Salem Journal for details on Democratic state Sen. Dan Clodfelter’s role in crafting the energy bill now under debate in the General Assembly.

Bottomline, Clodfelter crafted the Senate version of bill the with the input of “stakeholders” of the energy issues. Since every ratepayer and taxpayer in the state couldn’t fit in the room, no wonder nobody spoke up for them.

Bonus Observation: Why couldn’t the Uptown paper of record do this story on a powerful local pol? Oh, that’s right. Had to continue to probe Jay Morrison’s past. Is Stan Campbell officially editing the paper now?

Update: Here’s the Observer’s take on Morrison’s appearance on the Keith Larson show. And here is the conversation itself on Larson’s homepage.
