Suicide is evidently a big problem in Portland. Wonder if that has anything to do with the streetcars they force you to fund and all the restrictions on what you can do with your own property? Or maybe a city just naturally ends up with a depressed populace when local officials pro-actively drive young families with children away in search of “creative class” residents who’ll pay high taxes while consuming little in services.
