Another anti-war Iraq movie has bombed. This one, “Stop-Loss,” only managed $1.6 million on Friday. Can you see the tracks of my tears? Here’s one Hollywood insider’s dumb analysis (emphasis added):

“It’s not looking good. No one wants to see Iraq war movies. No matter what we put out there in terms of great cast or trailers, people were completely turned off. It’s a function of the marketplace not being ready to address this conflict in a dramatic way because the war itself is something that’s unresolved yet. It’s a shame because it’s a good movie that’s just ahead of its time.”

Hey, Hollywood, try making a movie about a guy like this, someone who wants to win the damn war and is a true hero. We’re not waiting for things to be “resolved.” We just don’t want to watch your left-wing, anti-war, hate-America propaganda disguised as entertainment. If you haven’t noticed, we feel the same way about the news media, too. That’s why they’re tanking like Hollywood.
