Thugs knock on the door of a home on Tuckaseegee Road, force their way in, assault an 85-year-old man and his 82-year-old wife, threaten to kill them, and leave with valuables — but not before delivering what could have been a fatal blow to the man’s head with a pipe.
The attack happened at 4pm on Monday, clearly the perps did not expect to find anyone at home. Perhaps that’ll allow CMPD brass to claim the residents were not “targeted” ergo no home invasion. Or something.
All I know is that Charlotte city council and Mayor Pat McCrory need to remember the Stokes when they hire our next police chief.
