As I recall, our default man Chad Adams at the John Locke Foundation just missed attending the Livermush Festival in Shelby a while back. Now, for his benefit and all other Locker Roomies, here is a full 24-hours notice of the next such event, to be held tomorrow (Saturday) in the WNC town of Drexel. The key details:

The Second Annual Livermush Festival will take place Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Drexel First Church of God. The festival officially begins at 8 a.m., but breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m.

Livermush will be served, of course.

I love every part of that announcement. The festival is at the Church of God. Appropriate. It starts at 8a, but really 7a. It?s the Second Annual event, presumably because the first was such a smash. And so on.

There will also be a Livermush King and Queen crowned and commemorative T-shirts. If only my kids? dance rehearsals weren?t set in stone!
