A legislative committee studying the future of Common Core public school standards in North Carolina heard testimony this week from John Locke Foundation Director of Research and Education Studies Terry Stoops. Stoops shared highlights from his new Spotlight report recommending two new permanent state commissions to devise the best standards, curricula, and testing programs for the state’s schools.
