Representatives from Swain County have made four trips in recent history to lobby legislators. The total cost is estimated to be around $10,000. That’s teeny by government standards. The objective of the trips is primarily to collect money owed from the North Shore Settlement. The latest news article emphasizes a weirder purpose:
