Good news in the JLF family this week. Charter Day
School-Roger Bacon Academy, founded by JLF board member Baker Mitchell,
has been designated by the state as one of the top 25 of 1,865 schools
for attaining the highest values on the high academic growth composite.
The Board of Education uses three measures: the performance composite,
the academic growth, and annual yearly progress (AYP). Charter Day
School is a tuition-free public charter school in Brunswick County. For
the 2005-06 year, it is set to serve 620 students in K-7. The school
opened in 2000.
Congratulations
