As this Wall Street Journal editorial points out, the Democratic power players in Congress are not allowing debate on energy ideas they (more accurately, their environmentalist backers) don’t want brought up.
How much better off we’d be if we had maintained the separation of energy and state we (mostly) had until 1973. Federal regulation of natural gas prices, if I recall, goes back to 1954, but they were abolished during Reagan’s first term.
